Venezuelan born of Spanish descent, Carlos came to the US to study Architecture. After graduating from Architecture school, he attended the American Film Institute where he received a Masters in Cinematography. His thesis film, 'Last Breeze Of Summer', was nominated for an Academy Award and Carlos has had a long and varied career in film and television since.
His cinematography credits include the hit ABC show 'Grey's Anatomy' for Shonda Rhymes, Ryan Murphy's 'The New Normal' for NBC and 'From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series' from Robert Rodríguez. He has worked across all genres and continues to do so.
Carlos has extensive international experience having worked in locations as diverse as Italy, Mexico, Spain, Romania, Argentina and Israel, among others. He holds US, Spanish (EU) and Venezuelan citizenship, as well as being a Permanent Resident in Canada.
Carlos is is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the International Cinematographers Guild in the US and Canada, and the Society of Venezuelan Cinematographers. He is now based in Vancouver, Canada after living in Los Angeles for 30 years.
